A standard 3x3 Rubik's cube is a complex arrangement of different cubical pieces interlocking with each other, so they don't fall apart. What keeps the pieces interlocked is basically the core of the cube. You can identify the core in the above pic as the "fan-like" piece, having multiple cube pieces attached on different ends.
This section will help us understand the design of the cube, thus helping us to know the limits of the cube. How to optimize it's performance, by using lubrication and thus improving our speed. We will get to the lubing part shortly in a different section. For now, let's focus our attention basically on how to disassemble the cube.
